Independent Staffing Services has a fabulous direct hire opportunity for a Director of HR in Woodinville, WA (10 minutes north of Kirkland/Bellevue area). Our direct client is a global leader in the athletic equipment manufacturing space and looking to hire quickly for this position.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Human Resources Director is responsible for the strategic direction of the Human Resources function and reports directly to the company president. The HR Director guides and manages the overall provision of Human Resources services, policies, and programs for the entire company. They will also develop organizational strategies by identifying and researching human resources issues, contributing information, analysis, and recommendations to organizational strategic thinking and direction and will establish human resources objectives in line with organizational objectives.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Any equivalent combination of education and experience, which provides the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the job, will be considered.
Education:
Bachelor degree preferably in Management/Human Resources
Advanced degree preferred
Experience and Skills:
Minimum seven years of generalist Human Resources experience, focusing on recruiting, training, labor law, compensation, benefits, and employee relations.
Minimum five years of management and supervisory experience managing the Human Resources function
Knowledge of practices, principles, procedures, regulations and techniques as they relate to all functional areas.
Knowledge of current and pending legislation and laws of the local, state and federal government affecting Human Resources functions.
Ability to interact positively and productively (through oral and written communications) across functions within an organization to accomplish organizational goals.
Ability to identify, quantify and resolve problems quickly and permanently.
Ability to coach, assess performance, set expectations, and objectively deal with unacceptable performance.
Ability to plan, organize and oversee assigned work programs, and develop departmental goals and objectives.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
