Welder

The Welder assists workers engaged in fabrication of structural steel metal products by performing the following duties.

Fabrication welding of fitted parts

Proficient with MIG, TIG, STICK welding

Ability to read blueprints and fabricate from those prints

Welds on carbon steel, stainless steel, and other required surfaces

Ability to work with little or no supervision

Lifts, positions, and removes workpieces from machines to assist in fitting and welding

Holds tape and rods and marks reference points to assist in layout.

Loads, stacks, and transports stock, tools, dies, and work in process by hand or truck.

Cleans and scrapes metal preparatory to fabricating, welding, painting, or shipping.

Cleans work area, machines, tools, and equipment.

Follow established safety procedures and quality standards.

Employee must demonstrate an attitude which portrays their ability to get along with others, function as a team player, accept constructive criticism from their supervisor and follow work rules.

Performs other routine duties.

Other duties may be assigned.

Required Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and three to five years related experience and/or training in welding; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Primary work hours will be Monday through Friday. Work hours will vary based on customer requirements.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
